Because It’s a Natural Product, Its Appearance Will Change Over Time
The natural drying process of wood leads to changes in the characteristics of each piece. These are not considered defects, but rather a normal part of the wood’s evolution.
As a natural raw material, the wood used in Nades pieces does not leave our atelier as a static object — it continues its journey in the customer’s home. Due to physical changes in the material, such as fluctuations in humidity and temperature, the wood’s design and color may evolve over time.
Don’t worry! These changes do not reduce the quality or beauty of your product. On the contrary, they highlight its uniqueness, organic character, and the individuality of the tree it came from.
Solid wood used outdoors is more susceptible to temperature variations, which may lead to the formation of cracks. If your Nades piece will be exposed to sun or rain, please note that our finishes are designed to protect only in indoor environments.
To maintain your product in excellent condition, follow the instructions in the Care Manual carefully and unpack your item as soon as it is delivered, to prevent mold from forming inside the packaging.
Warranty
Our warranty for wood defects lasts 3 years from the date of invoice.
The warranty is valid only if all the care instructions provided in the manual are followed.
The Following Are Not Considered Defects:
Natural changes in the wood:
1. Changes in tone, color, or texture of the piece;
2. Opening of micro-cracks up to 4 mm beyond those present at the time of purchase;
3. Minor warping that does not compromise functionality (<up to 30% of the piece’s thickness).
4. Insect marks: while the tree is still in its natural habitat, it’s normal for insects to bore into the wood, leaving permanent holes and marks. Once in our workshop, all wood used in our creations is treated to eliminate traces of insects and fungi. If the piece is not properly maintained with oil and eventually develops new pests, this is unrelated to the original insect marks. Damage from installation:
Nades does not recommend or perform installation on any base not provided by us. We are not responsible for any damage caused by the wood’s natural behavior in the installation area — including contact with stone, glass, furniture, or other bases. As a natural material, wood may change dimensions over time, expanding and contracting with temperature fluctuations.

Wood defects under warranty include:
1. New cracks large enough to compromise functionality or significantly alter the design (>over 20% of the piece’s total length and more than 5 mm in width);
2. Major warping (>over 30% of the total thickness of the piece).
