The boards used in our products come from trees that have fallen naturally, died of old age, or been removed only when necessary for agronomic or safety reasons. We source the wood from a sawmill in Castelnuovo Val di Cecina, where Nades also operates. No living trees are cut down to produce furniture: we follow the rhythm of nature, respecting its cycles and transforming what would otherwise decay into something new and enduring.
Thus, each piece is a form of rebirth; we give a second life to ancient woods, rich in history and beauty, working them with artisanal care to preserve the traces of time, the cracks, the grain patterns, and the knots that tell of decades—sometimes centuries—of silent life under the Tuscan sky.
